Authentic source

An authentic source is a directory or system, administered under the responsibility of a public sector body or a private entity, which contains and provides attributes relating to a natural or legal person or an object. This term, introduced by Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council, refers to a source that is considered to be the primary source of such information or is recognised as authentic either in accordance with Union or national law, including administrative practices, or by identification by the minister responsible for digitalisation.
