For help setting up your business eSpace, see our User Guide on Certification available here

Step 3: Complete your application for re-use of data

Fill in the dedicated application form entitled “Application for re-use of data (Data Factory)” and attach all required documents.

Do you want to combine your own legally held datasets with public sector data? You can request the combination in your application!

Step 4: Sign your application for re-use of data

Ensure everything is correctly filled out and sign the application.

Step 5: Send your signed application for re-use of data to all relevant public sector bodies

Each public sector body holding the data requested in your application must countersign the application. Otherwise, the application cannot proceed.

Step 6: Submit your application for re-use of data

Submit your completed and signed application to the Government Commission for Data Sovereignty.

Step 7: Review and decision

The Government Commission for Data Sovereignty analyses your application and issues an approval or refusal within a two-month period (unless extended, for example due to a request for additional information needed by the Government Commission for Data Sovereignty to adopt a decision).

Step 8: Data preparation

Upon approval of the application of re-use of data, the Government Commission for Data Sovereignty applies all necessary anonymisation, pseudonymisation and/or aggregation measures.

Step 9: Secure access

The anonymised, pseudonymised and/or aggregated data is then made available to you in the Government Commission for Data Sovereignty's Secure Processing Environment.

Step 10: Re-use the data

Re-use the data under the authorised conditions.

Note: Data export requires prior approval and is limited to anonymised results.
