Data expert

A person working for a data holder who is an expert on the nature, structure and content of one or more datasets or data types falling within the competence of the data holder. This role is performed by various individuals with a good understanding of the underlying data, 'business experts', often the people responsible for collecting the data, or its primary use or further analysis within the organisation.
