Metadata creator

The person responsible for creating metadata for relevant data. The metadata creator has a good understanding of the underlying data acquired during the in-depth workshops described in the inventory process. In some organisations, the metadata creator may also be referred to as a 'data manager'. Metadata records can be created iteratively or in a single step, either by the metadata creator or by several people working with the metadata creator. No specific process is imposed, as this varies from one organisation to another, depending on the distribution of roles and responsibilities.
